Ahmedabad, Dec 29 (PTI) Former External Affairs Minister and four-time chief minister of Gujarat, Madhavsinh Solanki, who underwent a bypass surgery at Apollo Hospital here last week is doing fine, doctors said today. Talking to reporters here, Solanki said that there has been rapid advancements in the field of medical science and "my bypass operation is an instance signifying that such surgeries can be done in Gujarat now,". Senior consultant Dr Parag Sheth said, "This was one of the challenging operations I have done because the patient was diabetic for the last 35 years apart from suffering from high blood pressure, multiple brain attack, multiple cerebral infarcts, multiple gall stones and multiple renal stones."
