Rajahmundry (AP), Jan 5 (PTI) As many as 20 class XI students of a government junior college in Yanam were suspended today for "pulling out pranks" on lecturers. "The Civil, Economics and Commerce (CEC) group students of Tanguturi Prakasam Panthulu government junior college were suspended till further direction for playing pranks during lectures", said Principal G Amaji. The students would pass comments on lecturers and even hurled a coconut at a teacher during the lecture recently, he said. These students on one occasion placed a dead crow on the desk of the lecturer, Amaji said. "We had been monitoring the behaviour of these students for quite some time and decided to take action with immediate effect today", the principal said, adding no police complaint has been lodged taking into consideration their educational career.
